My Holiday At Gold Coast Australia

First my family had to wake up at one o`clock and started my journey, I hopped into my dad`s car and he drove us to park 'n' fly when we arrived there we parked our car and A van drove us to the airport and we had to do lots of stuff, they had to check our bags and finally we finished we had to wait for A while and we got in the plane, it was really exciting and I couldn`t wait to have lift off. It took three hours and forty five minutes to go to Australia. We landed in Brisbane Airport and a small bus took us to Gold Coast and we had to wait until two o`clock (Australian time) then we could go in our place we were living in. We went to Sea World, Movie World and Wet `n` Wild.

Our Trip To The Botanical Gardens

On the fourth of April our class and 5D went to the Botanical gardens for a trip because our topic is Native Trees. First we had to come to school at 8:30 because the bus was leaving at 9:00. We had to find our nametags and whose group we were in. I was in Jamie’s group. Then we went to the bus and got on, it took a long time. When we reached Botanical Gardens we had morning tea. When we finished morning tea the botanical garden’s staff checked that everybody had raincoats. Then group 1 went with Suzy and group 3 went on a self guided walk through forest place. We found out lots about trees native to New Zealand. Some trees I remember were the Silver fern and the Totara. We had to write on the sheet of paper the information because we had to answer the questions. When we finished our native trees trail it was lunch time so we ate our lunch and if we wanted to go to the toilet we went. When lunch was over we had to go with some staff and look at some trees but first we went in the classroom and did some activities like see what is on a tree and make a tree. When we went out we went to collect treasure from some trees and we had to leave that were brown, yellow and green. Then we put those into a rainbow. Finally we went on the bus and we came back to the school.

This is my holiday recount.

In the holidays my sister and I went to a chinese holiday programme at the middle of Auckland. It was really special because teachers from china came all the way to New zealand to help. There were a lot of activities like kung fu, chinese drawing, chinese writing with ink pens, paper cutting and activity that is made from games in china. The thing I like the most is kung fu becase it was really interesting and fun to learn. But paper cutting was also fun becase we had to fold it and then cut it also the paper cuttings tuned out to be really cool. One day on my way back home I saw a one million dollar car a Rolls Royce. After two wweks of doing fun stuff it was the end of the holiday programmDuring the last day we had prize giving and we all got two badges and a snake piggy bank. Kelvin 16.10.2013
